I was contemplating lost love today and also the glaring flaws in all of the Law of Attraction stuff. Yeah, I do believe some of it is a mystery and we are being sold only half the story…but I’ll get into that later. Still have more digging to do. Yes, the Law of Attraction works, but it is a “Yes, but.”

I’ve been spending  much time in prayer after the loss of a love. Always willing to accept full responsibility for the loss. Not always the healthiest way to approach life, but it gives one a false sense of control.This lesson in surrender and letting go has been a toughie.

So I asked God, ” Do I have to be perfect for a love relationship with another human being to work?  Was it all my fault because I allowed negative thinking and fear to get into my mind?” And this is how he responded to me. I hope you find as much value in it as I did. Remember, it takes courage, BIG courage to love. And it takes BIG courage to feel the sadness that comes after losing love.

Betrayal can open you up to the bigger story of your life and allow grace to shine through by the initiatory power of Love.

Huh?

Let me ask you a few questions. Have you ever been rejected in love and felt horrible?

Or went down the grief rabbit hole and didn’t come back up for years?

I know I have. Yet somehow, God has changed my perspective on these experiences. And it has been through betrayal every time. This is no cake walk!

It seems like I’ve been getting knocked over the head by betrayal for the last year and a half…
some by employers, some by friends, some by lovers(no family this go round ) and each time I get a bigger piece of the puzzle of the amazing power of Love.

Betrayal can open you up to the bigger story of your life if you let it. The greatest story ever told could not have been told without a betrayal(thanks Judas). And much of mythology uses the betrayal archetypes.

My favorite illustration from mythology is the Betrayal of Ariadne. She is betrayed by Theseus to become the Bride of the God Dionysus. I used to think that was an illustration that our true love finds us after a great betrayal, but now take it to mean we should marry our heart and soul to the Divine regardless of a romantic partner. Many of us seem to stay stuck in the same story. If you look close enough, you will notice a recurring theme that keeps replaying itself for you to overcome, let go, learn the lesson…however you want to view it.

We are all on the hero’s journey, yet some of our smaller stories need to change. You know, the stories of how you are not good enough, or how you always get rejected, or people are always taking advantage of you. You know those stories that have been around a long time and repeat themselves.

I SAY THE HELL WITH THOSE SMALL STORIES!

Time to create some new ones, baby!

For me, the initiations of Love do not come easy. Lately, I’ve been in a relationship in which all my old survival patterns developed in childhood were coming to the surface to be cleared. This only seems to manifest when I really trust a person and my heart is wide open. It hasn’t happened in 13 years, so I thought those old nasty critters had just vanished into thin air.

Not so.

The vibration of lack was manifesting in some uber controlling behavior(who me?)
And the Universe smacked me down big time. Ouch!

Then a miracle occurred. I did not want to be angry anymore. I just wanted the best for that person, whether it included me or not.

WTF?

Definitely a bigger story for me! My heart is still a bit bruised and that’s okay.  Believe me when I say, the most beautiful heart is the one with the most scars…and I am not talking about the one’s you receive from a triple by-pass.

I have read many books on Love and Forgiveness. I have been making Forgiveness work part of my daily prayers. Science of Being and Science of Being :27 Lessons by Eugene Fersen and Klaus Joehle’s works have a lot of great instruction on the power of Love. Catherine Ponder’s work, The Prospering Power of Love
is the powerhouse book on the subject…short and to the point. If you read nothing else, read Ponder’s classic work on Love.

Sometimes I just forget all I have learned…don’t we all? And then I get shocked into remembering and I seem to reach another state of grace. For I have surely done nothing but be open to this transforming power.

I believe the whole world is being “Roto-rootered” right now. All the negative stuff is coming up to be purged. Our belief in lack is manifesting through our economy and unemployment and our need to control. Our anger is manifesting in wars, acts of violence, and being unkind to those we say we love(and many other things).Our lack of self worth seems to manifest in broken relationships and unhappy marriages, or being alone not by choice. And the earth is experiencing many dramatic changes to assist in this. It is not always pleasant and it can be damn right painful.

But if you sit with it, and ask for God’s grace, miracles can happen. I’m not talking loaves and fishes,but rather the miracle that changes your heart. I’ve had a few of those over the last year and a half. Pain seems to proceed this. All grand alchemy puts you through the crucible of fire, turning base metal into gold. That’s what Love does if you let it.

The trick to all of this is not to shut down.Lick your wounds, get angry for awhile, grieve, but invoke your will and God’s grace to allow your heart to remain open. Keeping your heart open will make all the difference. This is not easy to do, but with practice, becomes easier.

Be willing to walk through the fire of Love …it will hurt(despite what all the firewalkers say). Receive Love’s initiation time and again. If you remain open, you will be transformed.

Love is scary business. It involves risk. You will get burned. But like the phoenix, you will rise from the ashes a different,and dare I say “new and improved” creature.

I was really surprised at the responses I received to my review on The Isis Channeling & Feng Shui Deluxe Kit.
Many people emailed me about their experiences with Ouija’s and how they thought they were dangerous. Everyone accept my friend Pent(of course) who shared with me some letters Crowley penned about the Ouija being an reliable tool for the Adept.

The Ouija Board – A Metaphysical View by H.P. Thomas Moore

Simply saying the name ‘Ouija Board’ brings up a variety of mixed emotions in people. Many have had experiences with this talking board in their juvenile years, and many more refuse to even acknowledge the experiences that they had. In the metaphysical world, a world filled with future psychics and spirit mediums where does the Ouija Board stand?

The Ouija Board, as I have come to understand it is a tool much like any other. The Tarot Cards, Pendulum and Crystal Ball all have their purpose in the metaphysical world, so too does the Ouija Board. Before looking into the metaphysical of this fascinating board, we need to understand where it came from.
In the 1800’s the world saw a rise in the Metaphysical and Spiritual realm. People would gather for Séances and Table Tipping in order to once again contact those that had passed from this life. During the 19th century psychics and mediums alike began to invent different ways to communicate with the dead. Some of these were rather long and tedious like table tipping, while others bean to shape the instrument we know as the talking board. One of the first was an intricate pulley system that held a pendulum. The pendulum would hang over a paper with the letters of the alphabet on it and move in accordance to questions asked by the medium. The pendulum would then point to the letters and spell out its answer. Before long this instrument began to take further shape, and a moving planchette was created in order to hover over the letters of the board.

This form of communication with the dead was one of the clearest yet, and the form of the Ouija Board took shape. In 1892 a man named William Fuld took over a toy and novelty company. Seeing the popularity of the board the mediums were using he decided to create and patent it as a toy, a product that everyone could have access to. Fuld named it the Ouija Board and sold millions of the toys dominating the competition. After Fuld’s death in 1927 the family sold the patent to Parker Brothers, who still hold it and produce this talking board today.

From device to toy the Ouija Board has been around us for years. With its background and superstition it is no wonder why those in the metaphysical world feel strongly about it. The original purpose of the board was to communicate with the dead, and it seems that it has fulfilled its purpose of that even after being packaged as a novelty toy. In fact many people have their first psychic experiences linked to the use of the Ouija Board, though not all of them are pleasant. The metaphysical world sees this talking board as a gateway to communicate with the other side, just like any other tool or ability used within the psychic realm. As they say “With great power, comes great responsibility” and the Ouija Board is not left out of the equation.
One of the things that many psychics speak of when it comes to receiving future oriented information or communicating with the dead is the idea of psychic protections. So what is a psychic protection going to do for you and why is it needed to use the Ouija Board? Before we can understand the use of protections, we need to understand energy. Energy is around us all of the time and is neither positive nor negative. The actions that a person takes with the energy give it a positive or negative charge, forcing the energy to act in a specific way. That being said, it is important to understand that there are spirits that are both positive and negative. The idea of psychic protection is to create a sacred space. On the spirit realm a medium or even a person using the Ouija Board look like a bright shining light. The positive spirits see this as a doorway to communicate and possibly re-connect with loved ones and pass along messages, the negative spirits see this as well. Any entity that is positive does not seek out to hurt, harm or scare anyone, they simply seek to communicate and pass along messages to their loved ones. However the problem arises when the negative entities get there first. When you use the Ouija Board, the planchette moves around and spells out the answers to your questions. Often times when a negative energy is attached it will start off by being kind, maybe even telling you the truth. Then it begins to scare you in order to gain energy from your fear based reactions. The psychic protection prevents this from happening, think of it like a bouncer at the door to a club, if your not on the guest list your not getting in…period!
These protections are done in many different ways, from white light to calling forth the Archangels every religion or spiritual path has a protective method with it. Some of the newer talking boards out there do come with a protection. The Psychic Circle for example is a board that in it’s instructions tell you to say a prayer of protection before playing. The metaphysical view on the Ouija Board and talking boards in general is a mixed one. Many feel that the board can be an important tool in connecting with the other side; however it should be done in a way that is spiritually safe for the players.

Next time your at a party or a friends house and they want to play with the Ouija Board or talking board, remember to protect your area. Allow only positive spirits to enter and give their messages and you will surely have a good experience with this psychic tool.

My Experience with The Isis Channeling & Feng Shui Deluxe Kit

I received a request to review The Isis Channeling & Feng Shui Deluxe Kit recently. My first reaction was,” not another channeler,no Oujia board-like stuff.”
Boy,do I stand corrected!

Before I get into the great stuff about this little gem of a kit, let me first give you some background.

I hate Ouija boards and channeling. Yes, it’s true. I’m a natural medium and have chosen not to develop the talent for the time being. But if channeling floats your boat, that is your prerogative. It is just not my bag. And I’ve always had a thing about Oujia boards. Perhaps it was The Exorcist(thanks, Linda Blair) or the bad experience I had with one as a kid at Christmas(not to mention I begged for the thing).

Dunno, just don’t like them. My friend Pent plays with them all the time, but has recently had to do some banishings because of them. Hmmm?

So what the heck am I talking about? Okay, I received The Isis Channeling & Feng Shui Deluxe Kit via mail. Hoo-wee! My reaction again was “no way in hell.” Now it may appear that I am being harsh. You bet I am! This reaction was before I even bothered to open it from the Priority Mail box. I knew the kit contained a pendulum and a letter and number board.

And then I started thinking about Lynn Grabhorn of Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting fame. She got all whacked out using a pendulum. Lynn was specifically asking her “spinner”questions. You can read about this experience in her book,Dear God What’s Happening to Us. I mostly use the pendulum to change energy in the environment. No problems with proper use of the pendulum. Hey, I’ve trained with Raymond Grace on this, of course I know my stuff…or so I thought.

After I got over my initial negative response, which was based on preconceived notions and past negative experiences, I took a closer look at the kit.

To my surprise it was absolutely beautiful!

And as a bonus, it’s also a Feng Shui Kit with a compass.

How could that be? Channeling and Feng Shui?

Well, before I get into how it can be a Channeling and Feng Shui Kit at the same time, let me share with you my experience of Feng Shui.

The extent of my knowledge is the following:

1.Do not have a mirror in your bedroom.
2.Animals,plants,fountains,and crystals are good.
3. Keep the bathroom door and toilet seat shut.
4.Make sure the foot of your bed does not face the door.

Never been able to use a compass…they just don’t seem to work for me. Feng Shui and Palmistry…two modalities I haven’t been able to learn. Not any more! At least I can now learn Feng Shui.

The compass in the kit actually worked for me, so it increased my confidence in being able to use Feng Shui to layout my new diggs. I now have “Feng Shui” hope!

The kit is able to incorporate both systems because of it’s design…you just flip it over. One side is “conscious interactive channeling,” number and letter wheel, the other is a Feng Shui Ba-Gua.

Now the channeling part is well thought out. It includes a rose quartz crystal pendulum and instructions on how to cleanse it and get it responding to you. It worked like a charm. I think I was most impressed by the instructions that included a blessing to say before beginning the work. Like Ouija’s, these type’s of practices can leave you open, and the intent behind the creation of this particular kit and the blessing help to protect you.

Now,I am not an advocate of channeling other beings or talking with the dead, though you could use this kit for those purposes. The Isis Channeling & Feng Shi Deluxe Kit is no Ouija Board!

I do believe in communing with your higher self ,accessing your subconscious and intuition. And that is what I used the kit for. The Isis Channeling & Feng Shui Deluxe Kit calls it’s method of channeling “conscious interactive channeling.” Most dowsers use pendulum charts with numbers and letters, similar to this kit.

Another bonus is the kit is portable and durable. Just fold it up and put it in it’s convenient little carrying case and you’re good to go! No fooling around with paper pendulum charts and a bunch of feng shui tools.

Cara: What would you say was the number 1 benefit from practicing Energy Enhancement?

Swami Satchidanand: Well, I started off at the age of 16 practicing Yoga every night by myself, and I never told anyone what I was doing. I did it because it felt Good. All of my life I have been guided by something – I suppose you could call it intuition – as to what is more important, this or that.

And because of that I continued with my Yoga into Pranayama at the age of 21, again by myself and then Meditation at the age of 28 but with the help of a wonderful book on Yoga by Theos Bernard who visited Tibet and India way back in the 1950′s and was then recognized as an old Tibetan Saint.

And all these Saints have the ability to imprint their energy into certain things of others which are good or the things they have made by themselves.

My intuition seems to be, really, the ability to pick up on this energy and then follow through on it.

When I was young, and it is not so different now, we had in the UK a program called, “Top of the Pops” and everyone used to watch it but to us, we thought every pop record on it was grey and lacking in energy. We always listened to the music which never reached Top of the Pops. Was only recorded on Long Playing Records. These people never made Singles and thus never used the Top of the Pops promotional methods by which you can purchase 100,000 records in strategic locations and record shops and thus become, “Top of the Pops” for 10 minutes. A great marketing ploy made great use of to sell books also, easily in this way becoming top of the New York Times Lists etc.  It is a lie. It is corruption.

No, these people made great music which is still popular today and it succeeded without any corrupt marketing ploys because it has been touched by God. Because it has Heart!!

In this way all my cultural choices have been made because the very best of culture is always noticed by the Great Angelic Ascended Masters, and they add their energy to it!! This is the best and most lasting marketing available.

As well as Heart what helps is the application of the phrase, “I could not do my work without the help of my Angels” which I heard spoken by Santana in a concert in Barcelona. Indeed without the higher spiritual help of our Angels, all would come to nothing.

The first long playing record I bought at age 16 was Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, the choral which I believe, and so do many other people including those who made it the National Anthem of the European Community, to be the most Spiritual Music ever created. I did not understand the text of Schiller’s poetry which explains the Music to me Now, very logical, but I vibrated to the Energy of the Music. And still do.

If you want to know which music moves me, then listen and watch the Sacred Dance Videos Both Devi Dhyani and I have produced. It is the Best of the Best!

After age 28 I met up with the people who were in the process of passing on their knowledge to the next generation. This is the way of all real Spiritual Tradition. Zen Master Hogen and Swami Satchidananda, Yogiraj and Student of Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh in India. Great saints. Psychic Powers. Spiritual Experiences which I got in full measure from them and I suppose they came so quickly because I had prepared myself from the age of 16.

With such spiritual experience it is impossible to go back to Existentialism, Anomie, Despair and the just not knowing of normal humanity. I Knew!! I Know!! I Am that!! Thou Art That!! In this way we discern, “A Path With Heart” because you need your Heart Center to function in order to pick up on these paths.

And as for technology – well, I was born on this planet with very little brain yet it seems I was born in order to grow my intellect a little. Being a very practical guy I noticed that whilst having a very good hand – very evolved, very practical, yet in the beginning I didn’t have a lot of Logic. Very connected in to the intuitive parts of the Great Mind. Knowing what was true and important, yet without logic, not being able to prove it very well.

So, I needed to develop an intellect in this lifetime and looking at my palm now you can see that my logic has grown a little in this one lifetime. I am so proud of myself, and yet, probably it needs to grow more. Because what is the point of logic when you just know what is the Truth!!

I suppose it is so you can logically guide other people who do not have this knowing, on to the paths of the Truth. Of that which works. Onto the paths of Evolution and Enlightenment.

And what gave me this Logic, well it was school. And I went to a Grammar School where we were channeled in to the path of Science because in those days, back in the 1960s, they needed a few people who could do Science as well as Administration and Government. The School never offered me the possibility of learning Economics and Politics because those teaching did not exist in my school!! Only the Science and the English and the History.

And all these chosen people were given Rhodes Scholarships to Oxford University. One person went to Oxford on a Scholarship from our school every year. Because they wanted a few good scientists they promoted books and one book which inspired me was a biography of Einstein who really tried to find the truth and offer it at the feet of humanity and Tesla who was so far in advance of Humanity intellectually that he had an IQ of 200 and so I determined to go to University with Joint Honours Degree in Physics and Electronics although I was better at Biology, Chemistry and Art. I never knew Economics and Politics existed!!!

I ended up in Computers through the electronics and thus on to the internet, not because I was good at it, but mainly because I was good at completing the projects, because I knew how necessary they were – again the Heart, of other people who started them off and fell by the wayside. I am stubborn like that.

Since meeting Devi Dhyani who truly “Channels the Soul” with her dancing, I have entered into the world of Art, Music, Dance and directing Movies of that simply because I wanted to help Devi, but I found I really enjoyed doing that.

Cara: How long does it take to notice results?

Swami Satchidanand: People feel the Energy in the first second of meeting me. It produces feelings of Awe, tears, anger, heat, cold, etc and when we learn meditation together, the people learn to tap into, align with, a stream of Energy by Squaring the Circle…Squaring the tangent to the Circle of the Earth with your spinal chord. Aligning the spine with a Stream of Energy from the Center of the Earth to the Center of the Universe.

And they get to become used to this energy so that they can align with it in every Meditation they perform for ever afterwards. All you have to do after that is to follow that Energy and Intensify it for it is the Path of Enlightenment itself. And the Way of that Energy is Straight and it is very Narrow.

Cara: Why do you think students are drawn to your particular discipline?

Cara: Do you offer personal instruction?

Swami Satchidanand: At the moment we reply by email to every inquiry like this:

“It so happened that over the summer period, I started to dream prolifically on most nights. It got to the point where I would make sure I went to sleep with a pen and paper  close by, to write up the 3-4 dreams I was having every night. To make it easier for Satchi to help me, I typed up my dream diary every morning, and emailed it off to Satchi. Cara: What is the strangest thing that has ever happened to you as a result of practicing these techniques?

Swami Satchidanand: Spiritual Experience is so strange. Psychic Vision is extraordinary. To care about others – To Develop a Heart is Amazing!! Enlightenment is through the roof!!

But it is only useful to you if it can be scientifically proven. For those who have Faith. For those who experience it for themselves. And to do that you need to come and meet us!!

To me, what is most amazing is that people can develop a heart. That they can learn to Be Good. And then most strange, that they can learn to Do Good. Wouldn’t that be nice!!

BE GOOD, DO GOOD!! It is the solution to all the problems on this planet.

Cara: How long have you been teaching this?

Swami Satchidanand : All my life!! I am no different now from the child who arrived from outer space.

The real teaching is in silence.

Now I tend to talk about it a lot!!

Cara: What can a student expect from Energy Enhancement as way of support and results, like a timeline?

Swami Satchidanand : If you ask then it shall be given unto ye!!

Normally we teach in the period of a month, Two Levels of Energy Enhancement. After that a leavening period when you practice what has been given to you and remove all your energy blockages on a daily basis. During this time I intervene when asked questions. I prompt and point out various problems to meditate on and purify. After this it is good to come visit again because the high intensity of the Buddhafield can point out the blockages which remain.

Only when there is no reaction to the Buddhafield – when all Energy Blockages have been removed – can we be said to have become Enlightened.

Cara: What makes your technique different from everything else offered?

Swami Satchidanand: First – it is a synthesis of every major spiritual technique from every saint, From every Spiritual Master, From every Major Religion, of all the Best, and Most Successful and Accelerated Spiritual techniques available to humanity.

Second – it is taught by someone who has experienced the techniques for himself and not someone who is just teaching by rote. Someone who has not experienced the power of the techniques for himself. It has a real living teacher.

Cara: Can you describe how Energy Enhancement affects negative energy blocks and attachments?

Swami Satchidanand:Well, the purpose of Energy Enhancement techniques is to throw out all the Energy Blockages, The Negative Energies, The Trauma Formed Negative Karmic Mass, Negative Emotions, Egotistical and selfish Attachment to people, Egotistic and Selfish Attachment to Ancient and ineffective ways of doing things.

Simple yet effective Energy Enhancement techniques allow us to Ground Negative Energy leaving only that which is positive behind.

By removing the negative, only the positive remains.

By purifying the negative, we polish up the jewels of our Talent.

It’s the negativity we reject that makes Energy Enhancement the Best.

Energy Enhancement  Meditation

If you’ve tried all the meditation techniques out there and still feel like you don’t get it and continue to be frustrated with meditation, take the time to explore what Swami Satchidanand of Energy Enhancement Meditation has to offer. His techniques get you into the meditation zone very quickly and move you on to releasing negative energy blockages. 

I’ve studied and practiced many many techniques. I find Satchi’s presentation of meditation to be visually appealing, extremely effective, and a must for anyone who is into symbols, mythology, Latin, or Pink Floyd(not to mention Jung and the Thoth Tarot Deck)!

The funk cometh…

Yesterday I woke up in a dark funk of defeatism and indulged it all day long, entertaining thoughts of self-doubt and fear. Does that ever happen to you?

I’d like to say it was a normal run-of-the-mill funk that amounts to just being upset about not having what you want or not being where you think you should be in your life or comparing yourself to other people.
But that is not how it works for me anymore.

My funks are full-fledged battles. Black and white thinking. Throw in the towel defeatism. Traveling to dark places. Underworld Journeys. High drama at its finest.

Oh my God why would someone in the self-improvement industry be telling this tale of woe? Isn’t the Queen of Metaphysics supposed to be perfect? Hell no. And if any coach, guru whatever they call themselves  is touting themselves as perfect, run for the hills!

These funks allow me to bring more information back to the land of the living. Similar to Persephone’s journeys to the Underworld, but probably not quite as fun. Yes, I ,too, ate the pomegranate seeds, so I go back on occasion.

It’s a battle in the mind to overcome our fears.Or better yet an infusion of Love to transmute this mess of supposed separation from the Divine. This is true alchemy.

No denying I woke up in hell. A hell my mind created.

Jesus said,

“Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him…”(Matthew 5:25)

Yes, agree with your mind’s adversarial position at first. Then get to work!

There is Universal Law and boy is it fun to play with, yet there is something even bigger called Grace. What a mystery Grace can be. We’ll chat about that in another post.

And here’s a little secret for you:

If you are making changes in your life, this is when these funks come up.Your subconscious is going to hold on for dear life to the familiar. Security is it’s middle name. Hence the battle, funk, storm, whatever you want to call it. It is part of the struggle to become more of who you really are.

So if you are prone to little funks, or big drama queen funks(like me), know that these too shall pass if you allow it. And upon further reflection, you just might find a gift in the descent.

Here are some mind-savers for when your brain turns on you and starts the funk-i-fi-cation process:

1. Acknowledge where you are. Admit you are in funk-land.
2. Every time an ugly thought about yourself comes up, tell your brain you can totally understand why it would think that,but the truth of the matter is(and replace it with the opposite positive condition.)

For example:
” Okay brain, I totally understand why you might think I am a loser, but the truth of the matter is I’m just feeling a little tired today and am usually successful in what I set out to accomplish.”

Or, if that is way too much , just tell your brain “I hear you!“  Then immediately start thinking about something pleasant. Thinking about kittens works for me…scary, huh?
3. Move. Do some sort of movement. Jump around, dance, walk,clap your hands. It doesn’t have to be for 30 minutes. This just acts to change your state quickly.If you do it for 5 minutes it can be a major accomplishment.

4. Write out your feelings. Go all out. I am famous for cussing at God. Blasphemy? Believe me, He can take it and probably gets a good laugh out of it,too.
5. Affirm that tomorrow will be a better day and just roll with it.
6. Ask what this descent into the Underworld has to teach you.

Blue Moon December 31, 2009

This is our second full moon in the month of December , a Blue Moon,  a lunar eclipse, New Year’s Eve, and the end of a decade. This year gives a whole new meaning to “once in a Blue Moon.”  Yowza!

It’s a super-powered time to let go and to set intentions. It’s full moon power on steroids.

Even though you may have an urge to throw the baby out with the bath water during this intense energy, be sure to take a deep breath first and rebuild everything with love.

Winter Solstice is a good time to say good-bye to your double-mindedness, change your state of mind, and claim your good. Think you are not double minded?  Think again.

Have you ever claimed your prosperity and then several minutes later had a negative thought? You know what I mean, the thoughts that say, “I’ll never be able to pay these bills, I’ll never have this or that. My life sucks. I hate my job…”

Jesus said;  “No man can serve two masters: For either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and,and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Metaphysically, this means it is impossible to demonstrate your good when you are in a divided state of mind.

But you can change your state of mind. And the Winter Solstice has the historical and energetic power behind it to assist you in this task.

The Winter Solstice, typically around December 21st, is the shortest day and the longest night of the year. It is the tipping point. It marks the darkest time and heralds in the return of light.

The Romans celebrated a rather rowdy holiday known as Saturnalia during this time of year. One of the Saturnalian traditions was to have a time of reversal between master and slave. What if you decided to do this reversal with your double-mindedness?

Become a renunciate in regards to any negative thought. Here are two ways to do this :

1. Vocal Renunciation:
Just go to the mirror and vocally renounce every frickin’ negative thought or condition you can think of. It helps to make a list of these first. Basically,you are talking yourself out of this double-mindedness. When you renounce, it is important to fill the void from the negative with the positive.

2. Reversal
With this method you cut off the power given to the negative thought by thinking about it.You withdraw your attention and start thinking about something good.  Jesus said; ” Get thee behind me , Satan.” This is the metaphysical version of that statement.

Here’s a formula from Dr. Robert Russell you can use for vocal renunciation that I find to be helpful:

“I now demolish all the discordant and
untrue records in my subconscious mind.
They shall return to the dust heap of their
native state of nothingness.I will be done
once and for all with the past negatives
of my life; they must not pass!

I appeal to the Infinite Spirit to open my
mouth and to deliver me of all the old
foulness, pestering sores,burdensome loads
that have weighted me down these past
years, to bring me release and relief, and
to lead me ‘beside the still waters’.”

Replace your “I can’t's”, “If’s” and “But’s”
with ” I can”, “I have”, “I know,” and of course, “I AM!”

Double-mindedness is part of living on the earth plane. But that doesn’t mean you have to accept double-mindedness as your lot in life.You can keep your eye single so your whole body is full of light. It takes practice and persistence.

The spiritual life, in general, takes practice and persistence. Winter Solstice, aka the tipping point, is an awesome time to recommit to the spiritual life . Please know anytime is good to reject double-mindedness. But during the Winter Solstice and the days leading up to the first of the year is an especially good time because you have the energetics of the planet and of years of tradition backing you up.

Renounce, Reverse, Replace and Claim Your Good this holiday season!
Because it is yours, you know.
